Best Interview with a Solo Artist: written

This one is a three-way tie between three of my favorite female vocalists of all time. his year, I got acquainted with 3 phenomenal songstresses that are slowly blowing away the music world with their siren-like wonder.

1. The Glass Child:

The UK artist is making waves here in America with her creepy lyrics and hauntingly beautiful voice. Before she dropped her highly-anticipated second EP, ““This Is How Ghosts Are Made,” The Glass Child (Charlotte Eriksson) did a cool interview with Truth Or Sarah:

Can you tell us a short “creepy little story?”

I’m the biggest daydreamer you will find, and I’m also a lucid dreamer, and sometimes I blame people for things or apologize for things I think I’ve done, but it turns out it wasn’t in reality, it was just in my mind. The difference between imaginary and reality creeps me out a bit.

What song is currently ‘stuck in your mind’?

Haha, clever! I’ve been playing ‘Turn and turn again’ by All Thieves on repeat lately. It’s not a new song but it’s just so good and makes me kind of wanna fly.

What is one thing that you’d like to “tell the world?”

Dream. Dream big and don’t listen to anyone who says that you can’t do anything. I’m tired of people who walk in the society’s old path, spending their life doing exactly what everyone else is doing just because they don’t believe in anything more. People need to start dream again and aim higher.

2. Kady Z

The daughter of Pia Zadora made a name for herself with her awesome pop track, “Beautiful Disaster.” This May I had a chance to catch up with her:

If you had to pick a side job, what would you choose?

I would either want to own my own bakery or be a first grade teacher!

What’s your guilty pleasure tv show?

Revenge!!!

Would you ever collaborate with your mom on a song?

Only if it involves a tap number!

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

The Final Countdown by Europe.

3. Kristen Williams

The singer-songwriter released an awesome EP this year, and talked to Truth or Sarah about it:

If you weren’t involved in music, what other profession would you choose?
I actually thought about getting a teaching degree for k-3rd grade. I love kids!

Do you name any of your instruments (particularly the guitar you’re “dating” :P )
Haha, that guitars name is “Taco” I also have a little Martin that I call “Mini Me” I haven’t named my other instruments though…I wonder if they feel neglected.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV show?

I’ve seen every episode of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”. Everything about the show is terrible but I can’t get enough!
